Using IR in winter?

I can't remember seeing any winter snow scenes shot in BW IR.

Is it worthwhile?

This is the only time I tried it. The ground here has a few inches of snow on it. Branches seem to look similar to foliage.

I think how worthwhile it is would depend a lot on what is in the scene you are shooting. The snow in the above shot helps it a lot because I have no idea if you would get the real ir look during the winter months. The trees seem to indicate that you would, so I guess it might be worth a try.
