+++ Real Shutter Count +++ after Firmware Update +++

Hello to all!

I have a little problem with my camera.
1 month ago I bought a used camera Pentax K-7. The seller has stated in the description 5500 trips because he has gone out of the camera supposedly counter. After the purchase I have his statement with the help of a free Toll tested "exiftool-8.99" and found out that these are 6869 releases. The difference of 1300 trips makes no significant difference for me.

The camera had 1:02 firmware version. I have updated to 1.12 and found the following.

At the next test, when I wanted to test how many photos taken in a month, I was amazed. There were at one time 9193! When I look at file names, I started XXXX_5484 and currently I'm lying in XXXX_7766! So I made in one month 2282 photos.

How is it possible that after the firmware update, the number of trips has increased to 9193?

Can it be that the previous owner has tampered with the tripping? Or is it software errors?

I will appreciate any help!

in the process did you use a memory card with different numbers on it and take a shot. the camera updated the image counter independent of the number of shutter trips, if yo use a card with a higher image count, the camera adapts it. the only way to reset it is to delete all images on the card, and rename one file with the image number you want to start with, reset the image counter in the camera to zero, install the card, and then take a shot.

Yeah, the image count on your filenames is not the shutter count -- you have to look in EXIF data to find true shutter count.

Sorry for my English. I write about a translator.
I might not call it right.
Shutter Count - should be the real triggers. Regardless of the file name.
The numbers I have read with spezielem Tooll from EXIF.
And after the firmware update, the number has increased!

Oh sorry, I didn't see the picture. Well, that looks like the shutter count, so in that month how many shots do you THINK you took? Not anywhere near 2282, I guess?

I made about 2282 trips. That's for sure! What I do not understand why the "Shutter Count" from 6869 to 9193 after the firmware - has risen update?? (See picture)

So your question is why they don't exactly match (9193-6869=2324), and 2324 != 2282?
