Please Help!! Problem with DA 40mm F2.8 Limited

I can't figure this out... For some reason my DA 40 Limited is everexposing. I've narrowed it down to the lens. Based on the photos and the exif data, can someone help me figure out why this lens/camera combination is doing this? These photos were ta ken at within a few minutes of each other, with the DA 18-55mm being the correct exposure. Thank you...

Is the aperture working and snappy? Test moving the lever on the back of the lens.

It appears to be snappy. Indoor photos seem to be less affected, but outdoor shots are way off.

One other thing...I tried live view mode and the exposure appears to be accurate in live view, but when the shot is taken, it reverts to being badly overexposed...

Have you tried multisegment metering?

In the above shots, center weighted metering might be confused by the darker flag in the center of the frame.

I tried the different settings (spot, multi-segment, and center weighted, they all look like this:

Put the camera in manual. Try a shot at f/2.8 and whatever speed is required to center the meter. Now take a series of shots changing the aperture from f/2.8 to f/16 but not changing the speed.

If the aperture is working properly each successive picture should get darker. If they don't then the aperture lever is not working and the lens is always shooting wide open. The lever could be bent slightly and not engaging.

Clean the contacts for the lens.

And check that the aperture lever is not bent so it does not meet the actuating lever in the camera body.

Looks like that may be what it was...the aperture level must have been bent....After the suggestion that a bent aperture could be the cause, I was able to push the lever ever so slightly and now I'm getting better results.
