k-30 how to set camera for 5 shot hdr

with my k20d i was able to take 5 consecutive shots at different exposures by pressing shutter release button once... with the new k-30 i can not find how to take more than 3 shots following one shutter release button press... multiple-exposure is set to 5 but this requires 5 presses, it seems... i must be missing something... what?

I too have the K-30 ... and as far as I know there is no such option on the camera. I read the manual.
There is only a multi-exposure solution like you mentioned.

You can't take more than 3 bracketed photos for HDR with the K-30. You can take the three photos and then use exposure compensation in post processing to adjust the RAW files to get more exposures to blend. And you can do it manually, of course.

5 exposure bracketing is a K-5 feature. There has to be a reason to upgrade after all...

Page 91 of the manual tells you how to do a 3 shot "exposure bracketing". Start with the Drive Mode screen by using the right arrow on the 4 way controller, then the icon with a stack of light and dark pictures. From there you can choose the steps between photos. Since the exposure compensation button works with bracketing, you can simply do two sets of three exposures, changing compensation for the second set. That can take six shots for processing in another application like Photomatix.

The camera's HDR Capture combines multiple shots in-camera, and limits you to three shots and a JPG output. You have some control over the processing but not as much as processing RAW shots on a computer.
