Broken lock pin on AF-360fgz flash REF. K-x

I have a Pentax K-x and a Pentax AF-369FGZ flash unit. I think the lock pin on the flash is broken.
I cannot get the flash off of the camera! How do I get the flash off without tearing it up?
Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the link! I tried all of those projects,except the one with the sliding metal without any luck.
going to find a razor blade and try that! I will post a response.
