Cross Compatible Flash Question

I have a Nikon SB-22 Speedlight. Can it be used on my K10D? I won't let it get near my Pentax until I am 100% sure.

The trigger voltage is low enough that it won't damage the camera and it has its own light sensor, so it should work just fine. Set the flash to A mode and use the scale on the back to set the aperture of the camera. M mode on the flash will fire full power only and TTL mode won't work.

As indicated above, it won't hurt your camera but most of the features will not work. You can use it "old school," shooting it in full power/manual. You will have to do the math to calculate proper exposure and set the camera settings accordingly. Or just try test shots and adjust until you get exposures you like. Nothing will work in auto.
