Continuous shooting

I really tried to find out, but I couldn't find out how to let the camera take a picture every x seconds (e.g. every 2 minutes) till I want to stop.
Is it generally possible?

Which camera? The feature is called "invervalometer", not all bodies have it.

They call it interval shooting on page 152 of the manual. You have to also select the number of total shot, 1-999. Also available are external invervalometer that second as remote shutter releases. The external type will push the shutter till the batteries die.... You can also use an external PC with a USB connection with the program PKtether
... by the way - welcome to the Forums...

There are lots of software tools that will do this. Photoshop, Lightroom, Elements can all do a pretty good job. For really nice results, something like Premier Elements. For basic down and dirty, you can use the free tools that come with your operating system - Windows Moviemaker and I forget the Mac tool but there is one.

By the way, just FYI, what you are talking about is "time lapse" shooting. Continuous shooting is something else.
