Please help identify this mount

Hi I recently purchased a vivitar series 1 70-210 f2.8-4 lens at a pawn shop but I can't identify the mount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Somewhere on the mount there should be 2 or 3 letters.

PK/A = Pentax
MD= Minolta MD
N/AI= Nikon AI
FD= Canon FD
AR= Konica
C/Y= Contax/Yashica
PKR?= Ricoh K/R
OM=Olympus

Mine has it on the barrel of the lens, just in front of the aperture ring, right beside "JAPAN".

If you got the one with a serial number that starts with a 28, you got a very, very good lens.

Ivan: What Elliott means by a serial number beginning with "28" is that that lens is a "Komine" version. Komine was a lens sub-supplier to Vivitar that made some of the very best versions of Vivitar lenses.

Elliott: Who made the lenses that began with "22"? I just bought a zoom with a 22 number, and it seems to be pretty good too.

Kiron/Kino, also good, If it is the Series 1 70-210mm f3.5 then it has a pretty good macro mode.

The Series 1 70-210mm f2.8-4 could also be Cosina made which is why I mentioned it, the Komine one is much better than the Cosina.

Here is a link relative to Vivitar and who made them based on serial #.

Here is another interesting page on the Series 1 70-210 macro lenses.
