Pentax KX power problems

Started having problems, my kx losing power and not wanting to restart. Tried several of the tips like removing sd card and replacing batteries. Now the camera will not even power up. Looking for other tips or do I need to send it in for repairs.

Make sure all of the battery contacts are clean, use a pencil eraser to remove any corrosion.

By replacing battery - do you mean you put in a new freshly charged set of batteries.

Also have you tried a different lens (or with lens removed)? I had a problem with one lens that had stick aperture lever causing similar symptoms (would not power up properly).

Replace with new batteries, and I have tried with the lens on and off, several lenses have been tried. Also, cleaned contacts on battery compartment. Also tried sd card in and out along with several different cards. Still have no power.

Hmmmm.... does not sound too good to me unfortunately. Might need to get it serviced.

Oh.... and are you sure that your battery charger is working Ok? Have you tried new Lithiums in the camera?

Be sure to test the camera with non-rechargeable batteries, as it's quite possible that your batteries/charger are to blame.
