what is the lighting when you are shooting video? And then, are you consistently using a lens hood?I have shot limited video with my K-r, but it has all been in soft even lighting. I have more experience with an Olympus P&S, and I can tell you off the bat that I always had problems with color shift in bright high-contrast lighting; for example, outdoors.

You answered your own question. Tungsten and flourescent have very different colors; you might as well be using a red and green traffic signal at the same time for lighting; there is no hope of white balancing the mix within the same image/scene. Stick with one or the other throughout the scene.

Also night is a high contrast environment. If there are any point source lights that are not totally behind the camera they may cause flare or internal lens reflections and cause color shifts. A lens hood reduces this problem to only those point source lights that are within the lens' angle of view.
