K20D need your help for main board

dear all,
my K20D always shows can't find memorycard, China repairing center checked, but saying the electrical circuit of main board with memorycard is broken, they can't do any welding, only to change the board, and soo expansive, around half price. if someone knows how to solve, tks a lot.

Have you tried to do a reset of the camera? If yes, have you tried to update/reinstall firmware? This may solve the problem if it's not a mainboard problem.
If the problem is the mainboard, I think that I will focus my attention on how could this happen! It's quite strange for me that camera stop working suddenly. What did you do before this problem? Have you mounted an old flash or something that could bring a short-circuit?
I'm really sorry about that.

Buy a secondhand K20D i would say, thats the easiest and cheapest option...
