Oben table tripod TT-100 mini

I was just wondering if anyone has used this table top tripod and what are your thoughts on the item. I think from what i have read it is sturdy and it can hold up to 6.6lb. very compact and simple. I am comparing this to the Vanguard vs-82 and others that look alike

Oben looks nicer, and I'd certainly rather have the ball head. No bad reviews really -- looks solid as long as you don't overload it.

I have a manfrotto version similar to the Oben. I quite like it and its also great for mounting a flash on a radio trigger as well. The ball head is the way to go for such a small tripod.

Thanks for the information I do agree that the Oben looks very good. I plan on getting one in the very near future. I did order a Sunpak mini plus but is came with cracks on the plastic where the legs meet the screw. The tripod is not bad very nice but not for DSLR it only holds about 2.3 lb.

Amazon.com: Sunpak MINI-PLUS Mini Tripod with 3-Way Panhead: Camera & Photo

It is good for a small regular camera. Be aware that I have read on other sights that other companies state that a very identical item can hold 3.3 lbs my opinion "slik" which is what the center shaft cup can hold ( an extra 1lb). Accorinding to my math the Pentax k-30 with the Metz 52 af using AA batteries the total weight will be 3.42lb. I do like the Oben and I think it will hold the weight.

Has anyone used your seen the Fotopro Compact Mini Tripod Monopod M-5 Mini w/ FPH-53P Ball Head - Gadget Infinity

Not has portable as the Oben

I have a Manfrotto 345 table top tripod I got used at a camera store for $25. I've seen it online for over $150. It's in perfect shape and has the ball head. I love it. The Oben looks the most like the Manfrotto, all it needs is the adjustable tube to raise the head up off the base. The tripod base is almost identical to the Manfrotto. I would go with the Oben. Looks like a nicer package.

Ya' it was a lucky find for $25. I didn't really know what a great deal it was till I got home with it and started poking around the web.

I just received the Oben tt-100 i paid $25 the same price I paid for a sunpak mini plus. I must say I am so impressed with the Oben. The quality is supreme and no comparison to other mini tripod. It is so compact it can fit in purse. A must buy to have in your bag.
