Hi, I have the LL-60 (*ist D) in my K10D, and have good results focusing manually. The extra granularity of the screen helps immensely. That might be due to using an original (Pre-S) Asahi Pentax for a whole bunch of years. I won't give up my spot metering for a central focusing aid such as the split screen. Not to mention that I dislike all that garbage in the middle of the screen anyway.

I also use the O-ME53 eye cup.
