There should be a tiny screw holding the spring, undo the screw and leave both off the adapter.

Is this the leaf you're talking about?

That's the one, when you look it it from the side there should be a small screw (usually Phillips but I've seen slotted ones as well) holding the spring in place.

Thanks Excanon. I made it. Easily my most favorite lens now. I'll practice with it more

pentacon six mount

hi everyone, new user here, have a k1000 and decided to buy an adapter to use my pentacon six bayonet mount lenses on this and purchase a k30 as i saw the lenses are backwards compatible on the mount, so i found this adapter on ebay, Tilt Adapter for Use P Six Kiev Lenses on Canon Nikon | eBay , anyone know if this actually would work? thank you.

@ tiberiu6x6

I've no experience with this adapter, but I've heard about it and it should work.

However, because of the crop factor of a MF lens used with a 24x26 film format, any shift function won't make much sense. To get a proper effect on FF (24x36) you would need a MF lens which was extreme(!) wide angle on its own format.
If you are looking for tilt, this may make sense in some cases.

There are cheaper P6-> PK as well as P6 -> M42 adapters (without tilt/shift). I am not sure how stable a combination of a (heavy!) P6 lens with stacked adapters ->M42->PK would be, but it would work mechanically and optically.

I was myself looking for some time for such adapters to use the superb P6 CZJ Flektogon MC 2.8/80mm on my Pentax SLRs and DSLRs, but even on German eBay used ones (M42) turn up only once in every 3-4 months, and auctions will end at $50-$70. The PK version is even rarer (and more expensive). I have more or less given up.
