Is it an m42 mount or the bayonet mount? If it's the latter, return it and get your money back. If the former, you will need to get an m42 to PK adapter for the lens, enable MF lens on the K-5 and shoot in Av mode (stopped down metering).

Your K-5 is a KAF2 bayonet mount, M42 is screw mount. If the Pentacon lens has the mount that look remotely similar to any Pentax lens, return it.

That would be M42 screw mount, which will work on the K-5 with an adapter.

The lens pictured has the M42 (also called Praktica/Pentax/Universal screw) mount and is adaptable to your K5. My only concern with the lens is that it looks like the Manual/Auto slider at the lens base appears to be missing or damaged.

As noted above, you will need an M42 adapter. There are detailed instructions other places on this site on how to used an M42 lens on a Pentax dSLR. The short version is that you must shoot and meter with the lens stopped down. With an M42 lens this must be done manually by you. I would suggest using M mode rather than Av mode with your camera. M mode will give more accurate metering as recommended in the K5 manual.

Instructions here:

OMFG, this is the best moment in my day.
I checked the slider, it's still there and works. Not smoothly, but works.
And M42 is not so hard to be found here .
Thank Steve, Excanon and ellitot <3. Have a nice weekend

There is no K mount version, the Praktica B mount looks similar to a K mount at a glance, but is not compatible with a Pentax body.

If you are going to use a third party manufactured M42 to K adapter, I would suggest that you unscrew the small screw holding the leaf spring on the adapter and leave them off. Tighten the adapter on to your newly acquired lens with a K mount lens cap and use the lens like a K mount lens. Those third party adapters are notorious for getting stuck in the camera (with the screw and spring intact) and may even require a delicate surgery to remove it from the camera.

I think there was also a (rare) Exa/Exakta mount version, which looks very much like the K mount. This could have been adapted. There should be a detailed description by RioRico somewhere in this forum.

I got the mount adapter. Good enough to use. Trying to find away to remove the leaf spring as you said.

This lens works like a charm to me, but i'm still learning how to do the best with it, eg: how far should i be away from the object,..

All the best, guys

There should be a tiny screw holding the spring, undo the screw and leave both off the adapter.
