Hi guys
Just took my camera out with a friend to do some bulb-exposure star trails, and to my embarassment, it didn't work properly. Thankfully, she also managed to mess up by bringing the wrong clip for the top of her tripod, but that's another story...
Anyway, during bulb mode, whilst holding the button down, the sensor shakes from side to side. It's noisy, and causes the entire camera to shake. It's very much like the cleaning function, but continuous for the entire time I try to take the photo. Obviously, it does the photo no favours.
I haven't noticed any other issues with the camera - normal exposure modes seem to work correctly.
I was set to f1.4, ISO 1600, using a 50mm prime lens in MF mode with the anti-shake turned off. I switched to a zoom lens, but it did the same thing. Removing and replacing the battery (as the manual suggests for odd issues) didn't solve the problem.
Any ideas? Factory reset? Time for a service? Time for a K30d?
Edit: I pulled the lens off to have a look - it's actually the sensor shaking, not the mirror flapping. Post updated to reflect this.
