How to hook up my K-30 to my computer

Because I am shooting jewelry, i would like to set up my K-30 so my photos go direct to my pc for editing. Can this be done with the software that came with my camera. I also have photoshop CS5 if this makes a difference. I have found no information in the manual.
Thank you in advance

Unfortunately not, but a free program called PK_Tether should be able to take care of it for you.

PK_Tether does not support the K-30. If you want to shoot tethered you should have gotten a Canikon. They support tethered shooting right out of the box with Adobe products.

- added support of new models K5II and K5IIs – K30 isn’t supported – probably Pentax made big change in camera firmware and PK_Tether isn’t able to communicate with camera

Aww, that sucks! Yeah, even cheap Canikons will be able to tether. You may want to swap your K-30 for the D5200 if tethering is a must (hate to say it).

I have a PKTether version that works with the K-30, although i'm not sure if i'm allowed to share it.
Let me confirm it, and if i am, i'll share it with you.

Is there a version # that I need to know. I really need it. Have you actually used it with your K-30? If you have, are you happy with its performance?

Problem Solved

Thanks for everyone's input. I downloaded PK_Tether version 0.7.0. It's perfect. I have had no problems.

Oh, thats good to know!
I will download it too, the one i have in here is a beta...

EDIT : The 0.7 version doesn't seem to be working for me...The program flips the mirror up and leaves it there, can't take photos or anything...
