Do Pentax cameras have toggle focus?

I have the Kr but haven't figured if there is toggle focus how to do it. If it does have it, where is it! If it doesn't, is there a Pentax camera that has toggle focus or something similar?

I think it may be focus selection - choosing which focus sensor is active. If so, then yes, the Pentax DSLRs have this mode. They have a physical switch to quickly move between center spot-focus, selective focus and "green mode" automatic focus.

Yes, that's what I mean focus selection, other brands call it toggle focus. Where is it located on a kr?

I don't think a K-r has a physical switch for that, you just hit info and select the focus type. The switch on the front left, near the mount, is only AF/MF, which turns autofocus on or off.

I know the AF/MF switch, I'd just like to be able to get focus a little better where I want it.

It does not have a physical switch to switch between AF.A or AF.C, which the k-5 (and other semi-pro and pro cameras) have.

To switch AF modes, do the follow:

1) Make sure you are on the standard screen showing the aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. See below:

2) Press the OK button to enter AF selection mode.
3) Choose between Area AF 5 point, Area AF 11 point, AF center point, or Select Point.
4) Under Area AF 5 point, the center 5 points are used. Similarly, Area AF 11 point will use all 11 points. AF center point only uses the center point. Select point will allow you to use the directional pad (up down left right surrounding the OK button) to choose the AF point you wish to use.

Alternatively - as Na Horuk said, pressing Info will bring you to a quick selection menu that includes AF selection mode within.

If the above did not answer your question, please clarify.

If you mean my description, then almost - for the k-30 and k-5, you have to press and hold the center button, I believe. Other than that, it's the same.

What they also have is a toggle switch where your MF/AF switch is that allows them to choose using AF-Sport or AF-Continuous on the fly.

And on the mode ring the K-5 has a meter selection switch similar to that - center, center-weighted, green. That I use a lot - but usually I stay in center-point focus. No VR switch anymore, it's probably the only thing on my K10 I really do miss.

Also, remember that a lot of Pentax lenses have quickshift, so you can use AF and then quickly manually adjust

I'm dreaming of getting a K5 someday! I don't have any lenses with a quick shift right now, I'd love to get one and try it out!
