Any advice or technique for flash at outdoor???

Hi I'm planning to have a outdoor portrait with my friend at the park on next next week.

I have K-5 with 16-50mm and Flash speedlite YN560ex.
The weather (cloudy or sunny day) could be the problem for outdoor portrait.

Cloudy day is easy. but what if I am going to take pic on sunny day?

It's hard to reduce the shadow... I'm not sure.. Even the location of the sun.

Any advice for flash???

You could also try one of these pop up diffusers/reflectors, they work really well too.

OK i don't know if the yn560ex does pttl if on the k5 hotshoe. my older yn560 units don't.
so assuming they don't you can trigger them off camera in mode 2 with the pop up flash, make sure the pop up is set to -2 power.
test shoot to get the yn flash correct using a slow shutter speed then deliberately under expose by 1-2 stops using the shutter speed [not faster than sync speed 1/180]
this will give you a well lit subject and dark background.
