havin fun

So I have a full blown case of LBA, and just picked up a very nice (IMO) lens.........So far I can't believe how sharp it is, and am very happy I found it...am finding that it's not too hard to get it focused on my K20. Here is a shot (just cropped it, no PP) of our 'campfire' the other night at dusk....the lens is a Pentax-A 50mm 2.8 macro, I love it!

Nice! I too like the Pentax-A line, I've got a 50mm f/1.7 and 28mm f/2.8 so far. A macro lens of some sort is on my wish list, but I'm considering settling for a Raynox for the time being to save cash.

Yeah, the A50 2.8 macro is nice - I picked one up at a local shop for a song and a dance. I don't use it much though, due to all the other 50s I have generally being faster.

I do have a Pentax M 1.7 that I haven't 'experimented' with yet..........I find myself reverting to manual mode with the A lenses, so am thinking I should use the 1.7 and see what I can do..............um, yes, I have LBA but not much money in the wallet!!

One of the best, hang on to it. A real pleasure to use.

photographing fire = Jinx!

Hey, I have heard from several fotographers that taking pictures of fire is a "jinx"
I am not sure that is the the exact word for it in english. A thing that brings bad luck... in Argentina we call it Yeta. In spain itīs called Gafe..

I'm kinda partial to an A series lens myself and there's a few crackers out there, enjoy your photography with this new lens.
