K-x Flash Broken

Every time I power on my K-x the internal flash pops up. If I try to shut it, it won't latch and just pops up again. It rarely latches down unless the camera is switched off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think the K-x has "automatic" flash pop-up. It measures the ambient light and if it thinks flash is needed, it will deploy the built-in flash.

You need to set the camera to "manual flash discharge mode." See pages 67-71 of the manual.

Thankyou for the reply, but this problem does not appear to be setting related I have reset to factory a number of times and still no luck.
