K-01 with manual lenses. Am I stupid? Discuss.

I just got my K-01 in today and I'm trying get it to work with with a Pentax M 35mm 2.8. I watched the video on the front page and set my camera accordingly. Here is the issue: The camera refuses to go into M mode. It stays in Av mode no matter what setting I choose on the knob except for Bulb and Movie. The green button doesn't appear to do anything (probably because the camera won't go into M mode). The aperture blades aren't stopping down when I hit the shutter, although they will close down to f/22 when I turn off the camera with the lens mounted. This is only happening on the manual lens. Everything seems like it's working fine with all 4 of my KAF lenses, just no dice on the manual. So... am I stupid? Any idea what is going on here?

In M mode, did you turn on auto-ISO?

Actually, I think you need to have it on a fixed ISO
