Sunpak flash and AC adapter heat

Tighelander Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2011 Location: San Diego Photos: Gallery \| Albums Posts: 228	Sunpak flash and AC adapter heat When using one of the big Sunpak flashes (544, 522, etc.) with an AC adapter, does the base of the flash (the part with the thyristor) get hot? I just got an AC adapter for a 511 that I'm using on a 544. After using it for a while, the base was hot enough for me to be concerned and I turned it off.
