Shake Reduction question

As a true beginner of this camera, I need some help. When trying to turn the Shake Reduction "on", I am not able to do this in any other mode than in U1 or U2. The icon is not highlighted to change it from off to on. I feel like I am making some simple oversight, but don't see that it's addressed in the manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure that your drive mode has not been set to 2s or 10s? Press the right key button, beside "ok" to check.

Thank you DryPenn.... I was finally able to reset to the default settings and that seemed to have fixed the problem.

Glad you found the problem, some shooting options like using a remote automatically turn SR off. You might want to go to the Pentax Imaging website and download a copy of the camera's manual in pdf, because it is searchable. Some things aren't exactly where you may think they would be and this helps.
