storage card

I do have problems with my SONY 16 GB high speed storage card frequently.
In different cases my K30 says "Can't store the image", or it freezes at all.
If I recognize that at the beginning of a session - ok switch off/and on, but I also lost a lot of pics in this way...
Is there any recommandation? Every commend is welcome

Did you format it in the camera before first using?
If the answer is yes, then stop using that card, because it's dying.

storage card

Many thanx for your reply.
Of course I always format the card inside the camera...also the card is quite new. I got the first failure approx. 2 weeks after purchase

There appears to be numerous problems with Sony SDHC cards in the K-30, as mentioned here and here.

I have a pair of SanDisk Extreme III 4 Gb cards that have worked flawlessly since I bought them with my camera in November 2007.

SanDisk Extreme
+1 that's all I use, never a drama, but I do change mine fairly often on a first in first out basis to ensure good performance.

ditto on Sandisk, I have a SanDisk 16GB SDHC Memory Card Extreme Class 10 UHS-I card that I bought with my K-30 a year ago and it's rarely left the camera, and another of the same card when I bought my Q in April.

Sony cards have had a lot of complaints. And of course it could be a fake or just a fluke, but I think you should dump that card.

+1 for Sandisk Extreme or Sandisk Extreme Pro, that's all I use. They cost more but how much is losing pictures worth?
