6x7 TTL without the lens attached

Hello,

does the 6x7 TTL metered prism work without the lens attached (I mean if is the needle inside viewfinder moving)? I just acquired a Pentax 6x7 body with a TTL prism and the needle is not moving. I have a fresh battery in it and the body is working great. I just can't test it with the lens right now.

Thanks.

No. Just tried mine. Meter needle moves with the lens attached - removed the lens, turned the meter on and the needle stays put at the bottom.
With no lens the aperture sensing pot is at the extreme position so the needle doesn't move. Same thing I expect if you attach the prism with a lens in place and break the meter chain at the front of the focusing screen.

Thank you, I thought so, but I was not sure!
