Sticky aperture blades?

Thanks Steve.

It's a Pentax-DA 50-135/2.8 and I'm also surprised. For maybe two years it's been overexposing but it's been getting worse. A week ago I moved the aperture arm and noticed that it's really stiff. After some wiggling it seemed to loosen up a bit. I messaged Eric a few days ago but no response yet. Perhaps I'll try Sun Camera Service. Thanks for the info.

That sounds like mechanical binding, not sticky blades. Good luck with getting resolution.

Yes. I was thinking of binding too as it did seem unusually stiff. Perhaps I am hoping it's not serious. It's a pity. Such a nice lens. Not going to spend a fortune fixing it though. Fingers crossed for a nice Pentax full frame release.
