k100 Super lens read failure

I have a k100 Super and a K20D. I have several lens options. My super will no longer read my kit lens, a Sigma and Tamron I have. The lens work on other cameras in the family. The only lens working properly with the super is my DA*16-50. f2.8. I have sent this camera in 2 times for repairs in its life span. I was hoping to find a possible fix to avoid it again. The lens and camera contacts have been cleaned properly. There is no way to reload the firmware for this body. Anyone have any ideas I have not covered?

Does this mean that it no longer functions with those - such as not focusing, or just not identifying it for exif data, etc.? I suppose you did some other simple things like remove and replace the batteries? I have the Super (20K shutter count) and, to the best of my knowledge, that problem has not yet come up. I'll check some functions and get back soon. Which version of the kit lens do you have? I have only Pentax glass, to check though - 18-55 II, 17-70, 55-300, 40 Limited. I presume the 16-50 is using the SDM, so maybe that is a slightly different set of contacts. Otherwise, it is curious why that one works when the others do not.

I have a cheap sigma 20-70 that it wont see at all. The kit lens is the 28 to 70 f4 to 5.6 AL1 I think. It will not change aperture setting. The contacts are different on all three tested. This body has been plagued for years. Within a week it popped during a photo and cooked half of it...then as soon as it came back the sensor had lines through it.

Hmmm....Sounds like possibly more systemic issues?
