Foggy LCD screen on K-30

While taking some photos at a fire training centre, my K-30 and I were accidentally drenched in water by a ladder truck. The water was similar to a heavy rain. A few minutes later my LCD screen began to fog up. When I try to take a picture, the preview comes up blank. What am I to do?

You should have immediately taken the battery out, lens off and opened all lids and covers. The next step would be to to dry it out with either rice, silica bags or a dry box for electronics. The more you try to force it and leave it on the higher the risk of a short circuit and actual damage, so it may be too late now.

Is it still under warranty? If so, off to Pentax with it; it's supposed to be a weather sealed body.

Well, hosing it is beyond the specified limits they take responsibility for, therefore not in the warranty. On the other hand they can be nice too and fix it anyway.

Was a WR lens on it when It got wet?

Agree as suggested to try to dry it out ASAP.

My camera spent the night in a bag of rice. I tried to immediately dry it after it was sprayed.

It is possible to pop the glass off pretty easily if you want to try it, it may make warranty claims even harder though if not getting a green light from Pentax first.

The LCD won't come on but the camera will power up.
