Did you try resetting back to defaults?

And the k-30 is weather resistant (so long as a WR is fitted, but there's still some resistance, so long as nothing penetrates the mount).

With my k-5, I got rained on a few days ago during a demo I photographed. No WR lenses (FA35), and it was fine. Kept it pointed down when not in use.

I dont really understand the video because it looks like you filmed it on a phone during class. Is your problem that it doesnt save the photos to card? Or that it doesnt show you the preview? I wish you would have used words to explain it

But here are the typical steps you can take, which might resolve a temporary problem:
Take out the battery, SD card. Charge battery all the way, leave it outside a couple hours after its done charging. Then put it back in, format the SD card (make sure you copied your photos to hard drive first), restore to factory defaults.

Looks to me like there is still a short in there somewhere. Can you pull the battery, the memory card and let the camera dry out even more? It would also help to understand how you got it wet.

Change the instant review settings?

This is very difficult when the OP gives nothing to go on.

The k-30 focuses, locks, shoots, and writes a black image to the card. The instant review, and also the playback button shows a black image with the settings 1/100s, F4.5, ISO3200.

But it seems to go into liveview fine, and shoot from liveview fine.

Sorry about that, there was a homicide investigator in the room. The black screen is the picture. If I point it at a bright light, the light is somewhat visible. It's the same thing that shows up on my computer.

To clarify, the black image isn't just the preview, it's the photo itself. It's the same when I put it on my computer. Only bright lights are visible in the photo. I have also tried reseting the defaults.

More than likely this camera will need to go in for repairs. One more experiment first. Take the camera out of auto exposure by using the M mode and see what the viewfinder (not live view) metering does. If you can't meter, it means the metering circuits located in the pentaprism are gone. If you can meter, take a manual exposure shot and see what you get.
