K5iis micro searching

I am finding as of late (actually right after I hacked my 50-135) that the k5iis would lock focus quickly then make very tiny moves back and forth and settles and relocks focus.
Anyone have any ideas why. I am thinking the hack had nothing to do with it. Seems to happen with all of my lenses.
Any thoughts welcome!

What focus mode are you in, AFA, AFC, AFS?

Back when I did the K-5 II AF tests, I noticed that there the camera does more fine adjusting when it's dark. Thus I think it depends on the reliability of the original measurement & the ambient light.

It doesn't do it in bright light but it isn't that dark either.
Did when you did the tests did it do it in the beginning or after you used it for awhile?

The camera was basically brand new, but honestly I don't think anything changes over time.

Same happens on mine. I just figured that microsearching is normal.
