Zeltsman Approach to Traditional Classic Portraiture
I found this resource which for any beginner to photography will be invaluable for years to come.

Read it very carefully and at least twice, even the chapter which was written with film and a wet darkroom is relevant.

This really is a gem and nearly is lost. I would strongly suggest you copy and paste each page in word doc or whatever you use to make a permenant copy because if the web site above shuts down this book is gone for ever.

Zeltsman Apporach to Traditionla Classic Portraiture

Thank you - really fun and informative read.

Every third year the church we attend produces a photo book of all the members - roughly 1000 'family units'..What's really interesting to me is how the read conforms to the subject instructions I've received over the last 59 years (yes, one church my whole life), to which I've paid some critical attention the last few cycles just for grins.

I must say, the actual image examples look quite like those in our viewbooks from the 80's.
