Programming an older lens into K30

I am sitting here holding my first DSLR in my hands and have played around a bit with it. I purchased a K30 because I have several older ( around 2000 vintage Sigma auto lenses ) and want to use them, they are off a Pentax MZ50.
I cannot use the (take picture ?) button with them on and the F--- is flashing. Rather than searching through all the forums , can someone please help me out?

On K-30:
- turn camera on
- press "MENU" button
- press left arrow button (the one with the flash on it) once
- use down arrow (WB) to get to #23 and change "DISABLE" to "ENABLE"
- switch it off and on again and you should be able to fire your camera with a manual lens on it, no more "F-----"

Make sure the aperture ring is set to A. If it is set to A and you still get the flashing F-- you may have to clean the contacts on the lens.
