Miranda 28mm with Ricoh pin

Dear all,

I had this lens, Miranda 28mm f2.8. It has A setting for aperture and it work just fine with my Super Program. It also can mount to my K-01 but its need force when unmount. I disassemble it and found out it has Ricoh pin unlike any I saw online. Picture as below, it has some kind if circuit connecting with the aperture pin. Anyone had any experience with this type of pin? Will my lens work just fine if i remove it?

Thanks in advance

Edit: the pin is actually on the right side of the picture, not in the red circle

My Sears kr has pretty much same set up. I was told removing the connection will disable the auto aperture. So instead I just used a multi tool (Dremmel) and ground that sucker flat. Works fantastic!! The best part is no risk of reduced functionality!

Well, I don't have the grinding tool so I tried to remove the pin, assemble it back and mount it to my K-01. Guess what, its working just fine. Auto aperture setting work and easy to unmount. If anyone have this kind of pin, I think it is safe to remove it permanently.

Thanks

All three of my Ricoh-pin laden Sears lenses' apertures function perfectly well after removing the pin entirely. I don't remember if they had a circuit going to them or not however.
