warranties...

how do you register it if there is no warranty card included in the box... if a buy a kit from amazon

You don't need to register. Just hang on to your receipt and you'll be fine, as long as the item was bought from an authorized retailer (amazon is authorized if you bought your camera directly from them).

Your receipt is also your warranty. Some jurisdictions do not require you to purchase from an "authorized retailer".

that would be a good idea...I actually contacted pentax to verify coverage from amazon ...if you purchase form amazon , the camera is covered and you can purchase additional warranties at bh or adorama even though the camera was not purchased from them..

Does that also apply to 3rd party sellers in Amazon? The camera you linked to is sold by Electronics Basket, not Amazon.

Yes, according to the person I chatted with at pentax USA a month or so ago, if you bought it through Amazon, regardless of the actual retailer, Amazon is considered the seller and is authorized.
