microSD card on K30

Anyone have a successful story of using microSD card on K30!? of course with adapter.
I already have an SD card, and want to buy a backup card, so thought it would be helpful in trips to be able to transfer my photos to my cell phone or tablet.
I know about EyFi cards with wireless, but they are much more expensive.

So, If you have any experience please share it with me what brand and which capacity/speed did you use successfully! or which one you tried and failed.

Thanks

Although I have not tried that recently, I had used a 2-GB Kingston microSD card (with SD case) on my K-10 and K-7 a few years back and didn't encounter any problem. So, I wouldn't be surprised that it should work, just my thoughts.

Unless I'm wrong microSD's might not have the fast write speeds that SD's have.

Don't think so (as it supports similar class 10 or UHS-1 standards)... the only difference I see would be slightly higher price than standard SD format. The CF (compact flash) format card on the other hand can support higher speed but it is not as popular and bulkier which Pentax has abandoned since the iST-D camera model.

For the heck of records for later users, I purchased a Kingston 4GB class 10 microSDHC and it works as expected on my camera.

I have read some posts about trouble with them, but that could be certain cards, and more likely bad adapters.

That's good to know, thanks mtux. I plan to buy a tablet that only has a microSD slot, and getting a MicroSD card would benefit me greatly.

I have used a 32GB MicroSDHC (SanDisk Ultra) of my tablet for a while in my K200D.

No problems.
