K200D Repair

My K200d has a blade visible in the view finder making it unusable,can it be repaired at a reasonable cost,I live in Adelaide SA Australia,I have a K5 but want to use the K200d as a back up,any help would be appreciated...Jay

If you look through the viewfinder you see what appears to be a blade,when you take a snap you get a blob? in the photo,if that helps

Sounds very strange. If it appears both in the viewfinder and the photo then it's something in front of the mirror, either within the camera or within the lens.

It could be a broken aperture blade. Take the lens off and manually move the aperture lever at the back to see if all the aperture blades move in and out properly. While the lens is off, have a look into the camera too to see if there's anything there, but my bet would be the lens.

I was wrong

The blade was in the viewfinder prism,when I calmed down and took a photo there was NO blob in the photo,cost to fit new prism $ 278.probably could have got it done cheaper...Jay..Thanks to all for your help.I was forgeting my manners
