DA*55 vs sigma 35.4

I'm thinking to buy DA*55 or sigma 35.4

To me, sigma have more sharpness but can't trust the flare...

Not sure about DA*55 since this one is old lens now...

Well, you're almost comparing apples to oranges here. Both lenses have fantastic both, and I can recommend both for portraiture. But the 55 is inherently sharper.

These aren't really comparable lenses...much different focal length. The sigma is sharper according to dxomark, both wide open and stopped down (don't know if this link will work) Compare lenses - DxOMark .
I don't know much about the rendering of either lens.

The sigma is also slightly more expensive, but cheap for a 35 1.4, especially since it is one of the best 35 1.4 being made. The sigma has received rave reviews from the usual suspects.

My suggestion? Choose based on the focal length you want to use.

Please stop writing 35.4.

Well, they are quite different lenses by their nature. FIrstly, one is a moderate wide angle and one is basically a short tele, that's way more important than subtle differences on MTF chart.
