Problem transferring photos K30 to Macbook

I've had my K-30 for a few months and successfully transferred pictures to my laptop. I now have a new/replacement Macbook Pro and wondering why I am getting an error message and am unable to transfer my pics. The message says the "disk" wasn't ejected properly, and shuts down. I've tried many times. Not sure if this is a camera problem or with my computer. I was able to transfer pics from my Iphone to the laptop.

Can anyone help me?
thanks

Have you tried using a USB card reader? Second question, does this MacBook have a built-in SD card reader?

More info would help. How are you attempting to move the image files? Have you tried using different SD cards? A different card reader?

If you have different USB ports, try another. On my wife's MBP, the USB on the right works, but the one on the left does not. They are two different speeds, but I have not researched it. On my Air, it works like a charm on the left.

Just put the SD card directly into the MacBook Pro. Works like a charm.

Thanks for the advice

Thanks to all who responded. I did change the USB port and it seems to work! Didn't know I could put the SD card in direct. Guess I have a lot to learn about my new Mac and new camera-world.

I've had a MacBook for a while, and I didn't know I could pop the card in until this thread. It just never clicked that that was an SD card slot before.
