Shake reduction moving while SR off

I noticed yesterday that I couldn't get a sharp picture with my k-5. I have had the camera sence release.
So this morning I tried with better light and had the same problem.
I removed the lens and set it to 30 sec exp to have a look at the sensor. A bit chocked I can see the sensor moving back and forth ca 1mm every one second. The sensor is also not level.
This was with SR off.
Turned on SR and it don't move at all

Is this coincidence, now that the k3 is out

Anyone else had problem with this?

SR is active even if you don't have it turned on. It needs to keep the sensor centered.
I'd say there's a problem with your camera, but first try out all the SR related stuff (auto leveling, sensor shift etc.).

Under what conditions? Its true that SR can cause blurring, but it really depends on the situation. And later you say that turning SR on makes the sensor more stable? Thats a bit contradictory. Maybe post some sample photos with exif data so we can see?
I turn SR off when I shoot at fast shutter speed or at exposure longer than 1 second

The SR cycles the same movement over and over, back and forth moving ca 1 mm. This is with SR off.
With SR on there is no movement at all.
I guess that it cant find the central possition

Banged the Camera at my desk with small force seems To have fixed it somehow. But I Will be Quick To take a movie of t next time it occurs.

It wasn't regular SR blur, nor shutter blur. I have had the camera sense release and had the k20d sense 2008.
