A little K3 help

I have read the K3 review which is fantastic but a lot to absorb in one reading.

I did follow the recommended settings and set RAW/Fx Button to Exposure Bracketing. I happen to push the RAW/Fx button and then could not get out of that mode.

I landed up doing a system reset.

Any recommendations or explanation?

Thanks.

Top button on the 4 way controller to access the shooting drive modes.

That was the problem in that I could not access the drive mode when hitting the top button of the four way controller.

RTM.
I'm pretty bad about doing things like setting up gadgets with someone else's idea of recommended settings. But that takes you, the device's user, out of the consideration. You may not use your camera the same way or in the same situations. Read the manual. Learn where & how to change the settings that are relevant to your usage. You shouldn't need to do a factory restore to simply exit a setting.

ON the K-3 if you are in selective focus, the four way controller, lets you select the focus. You have to press the button on the bottom right to return to it's original functions. I've pressed that button by accident and gotten locked out of the normal four way functions lots of times. That might not be your problem, but any time you can't access the four way button functions, that's what I'd check.

If you can, just go into the menu and reset the RAW/Fx button to something harmless.

Setting it to Exposure Bracketing is, IMHO, not a good idea since it does too much and throws you into a complicated shooting mode that you may only rarely need.

Either just leave the button set to the default, or set it to something like turning the top LCD on or off (like I have), or turning shake reduction on or off.

With the K-3, accidental RAW/Fx button presses happen to me even more often than they do with the K-5 because of the proximity of the RAW/Fx button to the new K-3 focus mode button below it.
