k-5IIs firmware updating problem

Is there anybody willing to help?
I'm updating new K-5IIs to 1.04 firmware. But problem occurs: i see on screen: "updating Phase 1/3" and progress bar half-filled... oc, but instead of declared 150 sec. it lasts about half an hour? What happened? I have bit-checked (from official page) file before proceeding.

Well not sure I can help but a few things to check. Make sure you have the proper firmware (K5-IIS not the K5-II). Make sure you have the proper format (Windows or Mac). I generally format the SD card first in the camera then place the bin file on the root of the card from my PC. If you are sure of all that maybe re-download the firmware file , possibly it was corrupted - or try a different SD card. Mine updated in the suggested time or faster (don't remember but it was no different than other firmware updates I have done).

As Daacon said, plus please ensure you have a fully charged battery when updating.
I have recently done mine without any problems.

Oc, I just make a hazrdous decison- I turned camera off... (conditions as above: Phase 1/3, unfinished). With new card and 1.06 FW I started again... and everything works fine. May antivirus corrupt bin file (no masseges noticed)? Card works without any issue.

Conclusion: fw updating process might be safely terminated until phase 1 is half-unfinished,
