New Grip on new K3 Question

I am wondering if anyone has had any issues with the grip? I just got it today. Put it on my new k3 and the camera works. However, when I move the camera around with my hand the screen display goes off and comes back on. It did not do this without the grip. Any thoughts? I have it screwed on pretty tight.

I know the camera knows it is there. I took a picture and used the grip to trigger it. No problems.

Thanks.

Steve

I believe this has something to do with the power source you use (AA/Lithium).

When I put AA's in the grip and use them as a primary power source, the camera lags sometimes (usually, it is just that I have to press preview button multiple times before I can see the images I took)

I put a lithium in the grip. Should I tell the camera to run off the grip first and then the camera or set it on automatic? I have it on automatic now.

I don't believe there should be a difference..
K3 just came out, probably the best you can do is to wait a little for some firmware updates on "general stability"

Or it may be that you have the grip and the camera both on and are accidentally touching something on the grip. I do that way to often with my K10D and I've had it since 2007. If I brush the shutter release ...

Canada, so do you use your camera with grip off? Can you use the shutter release on the grip with it off?

When I am using the camera, the grip is normally powered off. I power it on when I want to use the vertical grip controls, and - usually - power it off when using the camera in normal mode. The grip power switch only affects the controls, not the battery.
