Anyone experienced with Eneloop XX 2500mAh batteries?

Anyone experienced with the eneloop XX 2500mAh rechargable batteries?
Could the higher discharge rate damage my camera?
Stock battery life in my k-30 is just unacceptable.

I think lots of people use these. They're not going to damage your camera.

Thank Adam, appreceate the info.
discharge rate is a little bit faster than normal AA's i dont guess heat would be an issue.

Interesting thread.

I have the "old" type of Eneloops (white) with the charger and I wonder if this "new" type of battery that is shown here would still charge with the original charger.

Mine is the Sanyo NC-MQH03U.

eneloops are awesome. Buy lots of 'em. You won't regret it.

I just have a really old Duracell charger and use that to charge my eneloop xx batteries no problem. Probably just takes longer.

I picked up a set for my k100d last October. So far, they're utterly awesome. They perform even better in the bitter cold then the old ones, and I get far more shots than the old eneloops (around 500 with the lower capacity ones at the peak of their life, and so far I've come close to 800 with the XX without running them dry and they're not really broken in yet). More life than even the set of PowerEx 2700's I had (around 600 shots per charge from these at their peak). We'll see how long the XX can hold up though.

A quality smart charger is always recommended (I have a MaHa MHC-9000).

For Canadians, 4 packs of the XX's (no chargers) went on sale a few times at Dell.ca for under $15 including shipping/HST before Christmas, so hopefully we'll see these prices regularly.

I have checked at Costco which is where I had bought the original package (charger, batteries, adapter for car ...) and they don't show those new ones.
Then I saw that Henry's Camera have them at $24.99 (CDN) ... : SANYO ENELOOP XX AA4 RECHARGEABLE BATTER HR-3UWXA4A
With shipping and taxes ...: $36.69
I wonder if that is a good deal for that price? Seems quite a bit to me.

Thanks.

That Henry's price seems like a poor deal. Dell.ca also has them for $24.99 but with free shipping, which I still think is too much. They were $12.99 at least twice from Dell last fall (Sept and Nov iirc), with free shipping both times. Unless you're in dire need of them I'd wait for the price to drop or for a sale.

Maha makes a high capacity low discharge Imedion that might be worth considering NiMH Battery Chargers Batteries - Maha PowerEX Canada (I've never tried them).

Back at $12.99 w/free shipping from Dell.ca for today:
