Trying to swap my 18-55 WR kit lens for its 18-135mm equivalent

Hello Guys

Im trying to swap my 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 WR Kit lens for a 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 WR as my walkaround.
I just started But I already feel the need for a little more range. i dont need to big telephoto yet, but 18-135 seems very right for my need.

Where do you think is my best chance of getting it without bleeding my wallet?
Im ok with ebay, and third party alternatives that are nice bang for the buck. Also I have a K-30.

Thanks for your help

The MSRP for the 18-135mm is $529, but amazon's got it for $406:
Amazon.com: Pentax 21977 DA 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR Lens for Pentax Digital SLR cameras: Camera & Photo

If you want to go lower I'd look for it on the Marketplace or on ebay, since the bundle price is closer to $350 if you buy it with a DSLR. There's one listed here:

I have no idea where you live, for canada I tend to look here first
Photography, Digital Camera, Lens Price Comparisons for Canada - photoprice.ca

You still have to know who you want to deal with etc. but at least it tells me what price range I should be looking at.

Keep an eye on the Marketplace for a used one, the lens is a bargain at $300 used. At $350 it's a good price.
You can set up a watch for "18-135" and get emails when one's up for sale.

It's a great walkaround lens.

You may also get a good deal from the SIngapore Pentax store. That's where I got mine.

If that doesn't work out, I see that KEH has a used 18-135 in like-new condition for $379. They are only going to give you about $15.00 for the 18-55. For that, I'd probably just keep it as a back-up.

Perhaps keep the 18-55 and get a 55-300 to complement it. They show up used from time to time. There are 3 versions. DAL (plastic mount, no quick focus, no distance scale, no hood), the regular DA version, and the new HC version.

I just ordered mine from B & H. I saw the lower price at Amazon, but I thought this forum was about supporting the photo store vendors?
