Addiction Warning

Be careful all of you beginners. During the first of December I dusted off my 35 year old Nikon SLR and lenses and gave them to a friend who is really into film. Then I thought about my point and shoot I had been using for the past two years and thought I sure miss a decent camera. Based on the reviews and the fact I was basically a DSLR novice I ordered a Pentax K-50 with an 18-135 lens. The K-50 became a big favorite in the house and I never got to use it. Then I ordered more lenses. Finally, I decided to get another camera body so I would have one to use. So in a month and a half I went from no DSLR to a K-50, a K-3, an 18-135 Pentax lens, a 50 mm Pentax lens, A 70-200 f2.8 Tamron lens and a Sigma 17-70 lens. Well you get the point, now I need a 12 step program.

I have back issues, so I'm using a Think Tank Change Up 2.0 bag with another pouch on the belt. Quite comfortable.

You don't have LBA until you own five 50mm lenses.

You aren't in real trouble until you've bought enough from shopgoodwill.com to know how long it will take the goodwill you bought from to ship the lens and how they are going to ship it. (Tacoma GW will take a week after you pay to ship and it takes another week for UPS to drop it off).

I'm already thinking that my K-5 II will be a great second body when that Pentax full frame comes out…

Yes, I confess, I am lensaholic. In 18 months or less, 6 of Pentax fifties, 1 of 40mm Pentax, 1 of Pentax 135-600, 1 of Pentax 80-320, and on and on and on....

Nice setup! There are plenty of 'vintage' lenses out there waiting for you. Welcome to the 'slope.'

link81, I think you're safe with your latest Vivitar macro... it's not a 50.

LBA is really defined by the number of web sites or online markets you check daily (or hourly) plus the number of local shops per week. I think I'm at four web sites daily and two local shops weekly. Did I just say that? uh oh, I better seek help. "Just goin' out for some milk, hon. Be back in an hour."

On second thought, I think I'll expand my area of Craigslist coverage to include upper State New York (the border is a 54-minute drive from my house).

C'mon now, folks, 'fess up.

Watch out....my wife took the DA*16-50 and 50-135, never to be seen again! I'm OK with it though as quickly covered that range with a number of primes.
