Samyang 14mm = Rokinon 14mm?

They're the same exact thing?

Same brand and same quality? But sold for different prices on amazon?

I mean, if the quality is identical to each other, I'm just going to buy the samyang since it's cheaper.

Samyang = Rokinon = Bower = Pro optic = Vivitar

I think there may be a few others as well, vivitar are cosmetically different, the others are only different by the nameplate

It's my understanding that Samyang is the original company manufacturing that 14mm/f2.8 lens but they are all functionally identical. Most of the brands label it as a 14mm but the Vivitar version claims 13mm.

So, yes, as far as we know, they are identical, except for the different brand badge on it. The Vivitar version has a different texture.
And yes, for some reason you can find the same store, selling the different brand lenses at different costs, even though they are the same optically. This is how weird the world we live in is. But Samyang is the actual plant that makes them.

The new 16mm Samyang has great reviews and f2, if the bit of loss of view is acceptable, I think the image performance looks more promising.

Recheck prices before ordering. Yesterday the Samyang version was cheaper, today there might be a sale on the Rokinon or Bower.

It is kinda funny that prices between those two differ, even though most people know by now they are identical.
