K5iis Blown out images

My trusty K5iis has started occasionally turning out photos like the attached. It's occurring more frequently now. Any options other than send it to CRIS?

WOW! Is this in the middle of some properly-exposed images?

Yep. Will happen once and then be fine. No shutting off of camera or removing lens needed.

Could it be that your aperture isn't closing down when it should? You don't mention the lens used--possibly the contacts are dirty? Something to check.

My k3 did that once. If it is doing that with more than one lens(if it is one lens, might be sticky aperture), then to cris I would send it.
