if you want to do macro shots it may benefit you to buy the lesser expensive camera and snag a macro lens as well.
If the short working distance doesn't bother you, the DA35 Limited makes a good normal/macro lens, the DFA100WR would be another option.

Cheaper AF-options: Tamron 90/2.8, FA100/2.8, F100/2.8, Cosina 100/3.5
Manual options: M100/4, A100/4, Kiron/Lester 105/2.8, Vivitar 105/2.5, Vivitar 90/2.5, Tokina 90/2.5

Landscapes,Macro & Night and probably more as i want to expand more of what i want to take ^_^ also sorry for so many questions as when i buy my camera i maybe wont upgrade for a while so that's why i am being cautious.

j2photos Thanks for that i will look into it but i am trying to just buy from Australia.
Here is what I (personally) would do;

Go with the K-5 from Amazon, $630 new, or $450 used (the K-5II runs at $695 new from Amazon) the K-5II/s runs almost $800 from B&H.

I'd get the K-5 for $630, Pentax Normal smc P-D FA 50mm f/2.8 Macro (2.8 is probably too slow for macro) for $521.95 OR you could get the Pentax smc DA 50mm f/1.8 ($181.95) or the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 EX DG for $399

A kit should consist of the following lenses:
wide angle (less than 35mm)
Normal; 43, 50, 55, 80, 85 (one or more of these is great)
Zoom: 100,200,300 (again one or any of these is good)
Flash unit
SD cards
Battery grip (optional)
Extra batteries (optional)

Are you in need of top end glass, or just looking for something with decent quality?

Also, I need to ask, do you mind if some lenses are new or used, and also do you mind if they are manual focus? That there will save money too, and you can generally get better glass for cheaper.

2.8 isnt really that slow, I owned the 50 and the 100 pentax macros and both of them were absolutely fantastic.

For a macro though? To me that seems a little slow. But then again, I have never used one! Haha

It really isnt, for the most parts those two lenses are pretty sharp wide open, and get stupid sharp after one more stop. if you were to get faster it would have so much DOF if might be hard to keep your subject filling the frame and in focus.

Heck macro can be anything you want ultra close up, I can remember taking a macro of Ice cream years ago and it turned out pretty sweet..

Thanks for the tips ^_^ and yeah i do not mind if Lenses are New or used i just want a new camera and i will most likely want to use just manual to have more control.

I just looked and saw that the website that i am looking at has the K-50 For AU$1198.00 and the K-5 for AU$1259.00 I think that seems quite close and both come with the 18-135mm WR Lens
Does that seem like a good deal ? because to me it quite close in price.

That seems really expensive for a k-50, but I am not familiar with the pricing in Australia. You can probably find a good used k-50 or k-30 (same guts with a little different cosmetic styling) here on the market place. I too recommend starting with the lower end camera and getting some nicer glass because it will be more helpful and it is a more durable way to spend your money because with glass it is a "buy nice or buy twice" situation while with camera bodies you will definitely be enticed to buying again and again as they release new models with better this and better that every year.

For a really good AF 50mm lense, someone just listed one on the market place yesterday, you might wanna grab it, it's a Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4 for $250 shipped. That's a really good deal really. Or if you want something a little sharper (but manual focus) you could go with the Ricoh Rikenon P 50mm.

Here is what I'd get on the budget of $1500 USD
Pentax K-5 from amazon- $630.00
Pentax FA 50mm f/1.4- $250 (PentaxForums Marketplace)
Pentax DA 50-200 f/4-5.6 $246.95 (B&H)
Pentax D-BG4 Battery grip $199.95 (B&H)
Watson DLi90 battery $19.95
B+W 49mm UV Haze Slim MRC 010M Filter $53.00 (B&H) OR B+W 49mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M Filter $46.00 (B&H) TIMES TWO (one for each lense)
TOTAL: 1452.85 USD

The battery grip and extra battery are optional and are not necessary, they are just things to have on hand if you do a lot of shooting.

THIS IS A VERY BASIC STARTER KIT! I would also suggest the 18-55 but that is an additional (roughly) $200-$240 (or less)

Sounds like a DA 35mm F2.8 Limited would be really versatile for you as it's fine for all the things mentioned above!

Unless he wants to take macro shot of bugs and the like. In that case, DA35/2.4 + DFA100WR might be a better choice.
