K-500 focusing in video recording?

Hey everyone, new member here, actually new to SLR photography in general. Just bought my 1st DSLR, the K-500 and loving it so far..

I've got a question: Is there a way to use the shutter to AF in video? Like when focusing in picture mode?
The only way I've found to use AF during video recording is with the AF button on the back, which is impractical to say the least.

Thanks

In general, dslr Lenses aren't made for AF during video. Though some vendors are beginning to change this with new dual-pixel phase detect AF sensors.
In any case, it's always always best to pre focus and then shoot. Results are always better. Try not to think of your dslr as a camcorder.
